Book Donation Campaign for the NGOs Trapezium - December, in Sao Paulo

For the third consecutive year CAS diverted the funds intended for Christmas cards to promote social action. For Christmas 2009 a campaign of book donations was made for the NGO Trapezium in which 400 books were collected. Some of the books were collected through donations of company employees.

Trapezium is a non-profit organization that develops projects, programs, and social actions aimed at seeking improvements in education, quality teaching and student achievement thus reducing dropout. Click here to read about Trapezium

VII Metering, Billing/CRM Latin America Congress: 19- 21 October in Sao Paulo

With one of the most visited stands at Metering, Biling/CRM Latin America Congress, CAS presented Smart Grid Metering by CAS Hemera which stood out as a unique solution in the Brazilian market and is intended to meet the application of the smart grid scenarios for small, medium and large consumers, automation and regulators, and the energy, water and gas markets.

The Metering, Biling/CRM Latin America Congress is an international event focused on measurement solutions for dealers and distributors of electricity, gas and water. The conference was held this year at the Transamerica Hotel in Sao Paulo from October 19 to 21.

Commercial Electricity Loss Control Seminar - August 26, Sao Paulo

CAS was invited to speak at the Commercial Electricity Loss Control Seminar, conducted by Internews at the Hampton Park Residence Hotel. The event aimed to discuss the fight against waste and the search for efficiency in the distribution of electricity.

In his presentation, Odair Marcondes, director of health services, emphasized techniques and technologies for the management of commercial losses in the distribution of energy. The event was also attended by representatives of ELEKTRO, ECOee echo and AES Eletropaulo.

SIMPASE – August 9 to 14 in Rio de Janeiro

One of the most traditional electricity events in the country, SIMPASE was held at the Hotel Windsor Barra from the 9th to 14th of August in Rio de Janeiro, under the organization of Cigré/Brazil (Brazilian National Committee of Production and Transmission of Electricity) and Light, a major Brazilian electricity utility distributer.

CAS technology was present to present to the electric power automation solutions market, solutions including remote reconnect keys, meter reading in hostile environments, remote sensing of low-voltage customers and remote reading of free customer accounts according to CCEE standards.

EMC Forum – 6 August in Sao Paulo

In the third consecutive year as a sponsor of the EMC Forum 2009, CAS Technology presented to the participants of the event its new services with a focus on leveraging innovative approaches to increasing operational efficiency in IT areas. Among theses services are: IT Assessment, Security Assurance, Disaster Recovery and Hosting.

The event was held at the WTC Hotel on 6th August in Sao Paulo and included the presentation by Cristiana Lobo, political commentator from Globo News.

Building Managers Meeting – 6 August in Rio de Janeiro

A CAS Technology participated in the meeting of Building Managers of Rio de Janeiro in conjunction with the Flaimen Company in order to present to the Brazilian public the individualized RS2000 and MI-Control measurement solution. The solution allows water, gas and energy consumption consumers have their consumption individually calculated, allowing power control, including support for ECO Consciente site that promotes information and tips about conscious consumption.
